Sky Brazil announced Monday, August 5, the appointment of Ricardo Miranda as its new chief executive. Until now he was the company?s CFO. He replaces Marcos Torres, who stayed only two weeks in the job. Since the previous CEO?s departure more than two months ago, the executive committee had shared responsibility for day-to-day management. The new appointment reflects the recent change of ownership in which News Corporation increased its holding and Globo relinquished control of management.
