The process of selling Fox Sports in Brazil is set to begin in September, led by local executives. According to Abel Puig, director of programming for Fox channels in Brazil, talks with some operators are close to completion. He won?t disclose details, however. ?There are a few contractual hurdles to overcome?, he says. It?s worth recalling that Fox Sports holds the rights to several key events, such as the Libertadores Cup soccer championships, purchased among other assets from the defunct PSN. Mr Puig also says no decision has been taken on the debut of Fox News.
