Sky Brazil is shortly to announce the renewal of its pay-per-view agreements with all the major Hollywood studios. A deal has also been reached with Warner, with which Sky doesn?t have an agreement at present. Terms and conditions were renegotiated in recent months so as to be more favorable to Sky, which plans to compete on the basis of content. It wants to differentiate its offering from that of Net Serviços above all. The studios have offered the same terms to Net Serviços via Net Brasil, but it lacks the requisite cash. Seasoned observes say News Corp. remains interested in a deal involving Net but prefers to wait until Net completes debt restructuring.
